Winter antics in the flowering gums

Due to some good rainfall over recent winters many of the large Eucalypts flowered along the Elwood Canal (Elster Creek). Often the trees would be full of squawking Rainbow and Musk Lorikeets. I came across a few Rainbow Lorikeets hanging down from the lower branches, quite happily ignoring me as they fed on the nectar.

  1. Great captures Malt, the Rainbows are so beautiful in sunshine and you have caught them in their favourite feeding position
