One of the best views of the Grampians National park, can be found from the top of the Balconies lookout. The Balconies are located about 12 kms outside of Halls Gap. From the carpark it is an easy walk to the cliffs. The forest walk to the cliffs has many birds and we even spotted several rock wallabies. The lookouts are fenced off and sign posted but quite a few tourists climbed over anyway and sat on the rocks, while dangerous it does make for a better photo…

and me, they had to ignore signs and climb over fences to get there…but they add scale and perspective to the cliffs…

omg, photographers! scale and perspective! be careful out there. I’ve heard its a risk for video people especially, walking backwards to get the perfect frame without looking where they are going. And Neil Davis, a war photographer, described filming the Viet Cong advancing towards him, thinking it was a great shot, and then realising perhaps he needed to get out of there.

I was safe behind the barriers, I Just shoot the photos of those ignoring the signs to take selfies, shooting them added scale for my shots.
